Havre Police Department

Officers responding to a call from Eighth Street at 7:55 a.m. in which the caller said a man refused to leave arrested Gary Louis Doney of Havre, 59, on a Justice or City court warrant.

Officers investigated a report made from an establishment on the 300 Block of First Street at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday that someone had tried to break into an automated teller machine.

Havre police referred to Montana Highway Patrol a report made at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday from a business on the 1400 Block of First Street that a person in a black Chevrolet pickup truck drove off without paying for $57.90 in gasoline.

After a caller from a business on the 1000 Block of First street reported a someone stealing beer, officers issued a summons to Leena Galan Healy of Havre, 26, on a charge of theft by shoplifting.

Officers responded to a report made from a local hospital at 8:09 p.m. Wednesday of a dog bite.

Animal control took an animal or animals to the shelter after a caller at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday from a Third Street location reported that two dogs killed the caller's chickens.

Officers investigating a motor vehicle accident Wednesday at 11:57 p.m. on Ninth Street arrested Corissa Ann Lawrence of Havre, 33, on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a revoked or suspended drivers' license and failure to wear a seat belt.

Officers investigating a disturbance at 12:51 this morning on Second Avenue arrested Tia Maria Gregory of Havre, 30, on charges of assault with a weapon and non-aggravated partner or family member assault.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A deputy making a motor vehicle stop on Montana Avenue and First Street West arrested Charles Randy Walker of Harlem, 70, on two Justice or City court warrants, charges of driving with a suspended or revoked drivers' license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to one call Wednesday and one early this morning.

Havre firefighters responded to a fire on the 600 Block of 16th Street at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday. A person had started a fire with some twigs in a fire pit in their yard but was advised to put it out due to high winds, which the person did.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelters this morning held eight cat and three kittens of unknown gender, two female cats, one male cat, one male kitten and one female kitten.

The shelter also held a male shepherd dog, a male pit bull terrier, two female and one male mixed-breed dogs, a male Labrador retriever dog and a male border collie-German shepherd dog. Also, a male and a female 11-week-old mixed-breed puppies and a female 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy were being held separately.
