State and local COVID-19 update, Dec. 17, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 201 new cases, 1,997 active cases, 139 hospitalizations and 2,877 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 194,764 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in its update Thursday that 1 new case was reported and 5 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 8 active cases in the county and 3,528 total cases. No active hospitalizations were listed. The county has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Thursday that it was notified of 6 new cases and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 11 active cases in the county and 1,536 total cases. No active hospitalizations were listed. The county has had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill county reports, reported Thursday 3 new cases and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 9 active cases and 1209 total cases, no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Thursday that from Dec. 8 through Thursday 8 new cases were confirmed and 4 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 10 active cases, 811 total cases, no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 13 deaths

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 2 active, 268 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 2 active, 788 total cases, 9 deaths.
