Blue Ponies swim in Great Falls

The Havre High swim teams were back in the water for the second week of the regular season, as the Ponies took part in meets in Great Falls last weekend, including last Saturday’s Bob McKinnon Relay Meet.

The HHS girls scored 24 points in the all-relay meet, and the Pony boys scored 27, each taking seventh place.

The weekend started with the Ponies taking part in the annual Pre-Relay Meet Friday in Great Falls. The Havre girls placed fifth with 124 points, while the Pony boys were seventh with 54.

Individually, Elizabeth Carroll placed sixth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:17.01, while Britton Elliot was fourth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 59.01. Liliana Smith also placed seventh in the 500 free for the Pony girls.

Blake Taylor was seventh for the pony boys in the 200 IM, while Micah Cammon had a strong finish for the Ponies in fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:17.23. Carroll shined for the Pony girls in the 100 breastsroke, finishing fifth with a time of 1:29.30.

Both HHS teams also were strong in relays as the Ponies closed out the 2023 portion of their schedule. 

Havre returns to action with the annual Havre Invitational Jan. 6 at the Havre Community Pool.
